within The Greater Scranton
Chamber of Commerce
jurisdiction. The structure
must be a commercial or
public building. The
facility must have been
renovated, constructed, or
landscaped within the last
two years. The construction
or renovation of private
residences is ineligible.
On behalf
of Springbrook
Kennels, Michael Williamson,
an Owner &
Operator, completed an entry
form for the of New
Construction, a brief
project description, and
before and after
photographs. He also
requested that at least one
member of the Chamber staff
visit the facility so that
they could truly appreciate
the new construction that we
completed for the boarding
of dogs. We replaced a 25
year old 1,600 sq ft
indoor/outdoor kennel
building with a nearly 5,000
sq ft all indoor state of
the art building with 50 new
Mason Kennels with resting
benches & privacy panels, Aco drains, SMT power wash
system with remote stations,
specially designed 2 zone
heat and air-conditioning, 8
zone radiant heated floors,
energy recovery units for
24/7 recirculation of air,
and stereo music all to
support a healthy, clean,
soothing, and friendly
environments for our guests.
My wife,
Brenda, and I were thrilled
to receive this award as it
has never been given, in our
area, to a Kennel before and
it proves that even small
businesses have a chance to
win recognition when
competing with those that
may have much larger budgets
for new construction.
Having been in the Boarding,
Grooming, and Training
business for just 3
1/2 years has been a very
satisfying and fulfilling
experience for both of us.
