Springbrook Kennels is devoted to the ideal of total pet care. Towards that goal, we have assembled experienced trainers who believe in training your dog without force, without fear, in a manner that enhances your bond with your dog and the mutual enjoyment of that relationship.

Following the theories and techniques of positive trainers, we will help you understand how to develop your dog's reliability and compliance while building his confidence and trust in you as his human partner.

Statistics show that the number one reason dogs are surrendered by their owners to shelters or abandoned to the streets is due to behavior problems, and these problems are largely the result of lack of proper training. Please don't let this be your dog's fate. Reward your dog's devotion to you by investing in his happiness.

Contact us today and take the first steps in experiencing the joy of true partnership with your dog. Whether you're an aspiring competitor or a concerned pet owner, our training staff is ready to provide solutions.

Puppy Kindergarten

Puppy Kindergarten is for puppies from 12 weeks to 5 months with an emphasis on the American Kennel Club Puppy S.T.A.R. program.

We will cover basic crate and toilet training, grooming, and understanding the use of praise. We will discuss bad habits that your pup may acquire and show you how to correct this behavior.

Your pup will gain beneficial socialization experiences and behavior shaping in a positive environment with other healthy puppies, providing a strong basis for further training.

Group Training Classes

Advance training is available for those interested in furthering their dog's education or for those interested in pursuing the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate or certification through Therapy Dog’s International, Inc.

Private consultations for behavioral concerns are available either at the kennel or your home apon availability of our trainer.

In the Spring of 2018, she became certified through the American Kennel Club (AKC) as a trainer and evaluator. Amanda focuses on Force Free and Positive Reinforcement Training with the goal of building a strong bond between people and their pets. Her ultimate goal for training is that canine and human can live together in a happy and healthy way, with understanding of one another’s needs.
Amanda works full time as a psychologist, and utilizes her mental health background in understanding dog behavior and in turn, helping people understand what their dog needs and why. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Pennsylvania State University in Psychology, a Master’s Degree from The University of Scranton in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, is certified as a Nationally Certified Counselor, and is Licensed with the State of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
